Famed chef and restauranteur David Chang had an opportunity to design a SB High inspired by his NYC-based eatery Momofuku Noodle Bar. The sneaker is inspired by the restaurant’s unconventional approach to kitchen dress chefs wear dark gray as opposed to the typical whites and blues associated with top-tier French cuisine. Chang outfits the upper in a look that suggests an apron. The numbers on the sock liners references the addresses of his Fuku and Ss?m Bar restaurants in NYC, respectively. The white midsole/gum outsole combo gives the tonal look some balance. Momofuku’s famed peach logo appears on the heel, with additional branding on the tongue, cements the collab.
